- There are no GPA or U.S. residency requirements
- Applicant must have a GED, high school diploma or equivalent. They must also have at least 6 months experience working in a grocery store deli.

- Applications will be reviewed by a board made up of Red Thread staff, former recipients of scholarships funded by Red Threads’ scholarship fund as well as representatives from local grocery chains.

Red Thread Scholarship Deadline
February 28, is the deadline for submissions for this scholarship each year.
To be eligible for the Red Thread Fellowship, students must go to the provider website and submit an online application.
It is a requirement that all applications be submitted by the due date. Two essays, a few short answer questions, and two letters of recommendation from prior professors make up the application.
At the very least, one of your recommenders should be a professor or guidance counselor who can witness to your intellectual prowess.
They will conduct the phone interviews after reducing the number of applications. The duration of the interviews will be between 30 and 45 minutes.
