  1. Apply for The Registrar 

Location: Ijebu-Ode, Ogun

The Position

  • The Registrar is a Principal Officer responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative activities of the University.
  • The Registrar carries a huge responsibility in providing leadership for team-work and joint efforts in achievement of the goals of the University.
  • He/she shall be the Secretary to Council, Senate, Convocation, Congregation and other statutory bodies as defined by the Tai Solarin University of Education Law, 2005.

Qualifications

  • A good honours Degree (not below Second Class Honours) from a recognized University.
  • Possession of a Higher Degree and membership of a recognized relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate must have at least ten (10) years post qualification cognate experience and must have served for at least five (5) years in Senior Management positions.

The Candidate:

A candidate for the post of Registrar shall be a successful manager of human and material resources. Specifically, the candidate shall be expected to:

  • Be a person of proven integrity and strong moral character;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Be not more than sixty (60) years old as at the date of possible assumption of duty;
  • Have considerable administrative experience and qualities of a good manager of human and material resources to provide a world class administrative support;
  • Be capable of giving dynamic administrative leadership while building strong and positive relationships with staff, students, other members of the University community and the State government;
  • Be a thoroughbred professional with clear vision of a 21st century professional university administrator;
  • Be a team player with ability to delegate and instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
  • Be a person with a clear vision for the development of the University Registry in the context of the University’s philosophy of a “Developmental University;
  • Enjoy excellent physical and mental health.

Salary – CONTISS 15

Terms and Conditions of Service

  • The tenure of office of the Registrar shall be for a term of five (5) years and renewable for one year only on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
  • The remuneration and other conditions of service shall be as approved by the Governing Council but comparable to those applicable to the post of Registrar or Bursar of other public universities in Nigeria.

Location: Ijebu-Ode, Ogun

The Position

  • The Bursar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of the University responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
  • The candidate to be appointed must have exhibited in the past, considerable ability, competence, industry and integrity.
  • He or she must be proactive and capable of efficient and effective management of a coordinated system of decentralized Bursary.
  • He/she must possess good human relations.

Qualifications

  • The applicant must possess a good University honours Degree in Accounting or related discipline with at least 10 years relevant experience preferably in University accounting system or that of comparable institution of higher learning, industry, commerce or any other arms of the Public Service.
  • Possession of a relevant higher Degree will be an added advantage while adequate knowledge of computer applications and Certificate of the Final Examinations of any of the recognized bodies viz: ICAN, ANAN,ACCA or any other recognized and acceptable accounting professional qualification.
  • The applicant must have acquired ten (10) years cognate experience and must have served for at least five (5) years in Senior Management positions.

The Candidate
A candidate for the post of Bursar shall be a successful manager of financial resources. Specifically, the candidate shall be expected to:

  • Be a person of proven integrity and strong moral character;
  • Be knowledgeable in the application of computer and electronic resources to support the bursary operations.
  • Be not more than sixty (60) years old as at the date of possible assumption of duty;
  • Have considerable administrative and financial experience and qualities of a good manager of material resources to provide a world class financial support;
  • Be capable of giving dynamic leadership while building strong and positive relationships with staff, students, other members of the University community and the State government;
  • Be a thoroughbred professional with clear vision of a 21st century professional university administrator; vii. be a team player with ability to delegate and instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
  • Be a person with a clear vision for the development of the University Bursary in the context of the University’s philosophy of a “Developmental University.
  • Be a person of excellent physical and mental health.

Note

  • Each application should include the names and addresses of Three Referees.
  • Each Referee should be contacted by the applicant to forward, direct to the “Vice Chancellor” via the address above, a confidential report on the candidate’s character, academic and managerial abilities in a properly sealed envelope marked: “Referee’s Report for the Post of Bursar”, and should be written at the top left hand corner of the envelope.
  • Each application must be accompanied by 30 copies of statement of the candidate’s vision (not more than 1,000 words) for the Registrar or Bursar in the next five years.
